GREENVILLE, Pa. (Feb. 6) -- The Thiel College Wrestling team dropped a 10-41 non-conference dual Friday evening to Lycoming College on Maenpa Court in Beeghly Gymnasium.
The Tomcats dip to 4-2 overall while the Warriors improve to 7-4.
At 149,
Jonathan Bissell (Sharpsville, Pa./Sharpsville) defeated Lycoming's Colby Steiler with a pin at 1:58 to give Thiel the first score of the night (13-6).
Bissell improves to 18-5 on the year, and leads the team with 12 pins in his freshman season.
At the heavyweight,
Joey King (Cooperstown, Pa./Maplewood) defeated Michael Sipps with a 13-3 major decision to round out the evening.
King is 3-0 for the 2025-26 season, with a pair of pins and one major decision victory.
The Tomcats are back on the mats Saturday, Feb. 7 when they travel to Berea, Ohio for the 39th annual John Summa Invitational at Baldwin Wallace University.
