ALLIANCE, Ohio -- The Thiel College Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field team competed at the Mount Union Tune-Up in Alliance, Ohio Friday evening in preparation for the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships next weekend.
On the men's side,
Zack Loeser (Long Island, N.Y./Rocky Point) hit his career best 1.85m on the high jump to place second and 11.89m in triple jump to take home first place.
Also in the high jump,
Carter Alexandre (North Lauderdale, Fla./Stranahan) placed in the fourth spot with 1.80m.
Griffin Fraterrigo (Schenectady, N.Y./Scotia-Glenville) took home sixth in long jump with 5.43m and 13th in 500m dash with a time of 1:17.03.
In weight throw,
Jacob Fraley (Cumberland, Md./Allegany) threw for 9.95m, placing 16th, while
Noah Glunk (Ligonier, Pa./Ligonire Valley) took home 10th place in shot put for throwing 11.45m.
Aamiir Shaw (Edgewood, Md./Edgewood) (54.90),
Logan Smith (Girard, Pa./Girard) (55.18),
Brady Wear (Kinsman, Ohio/Joseph Badger) (57.36) and
John Bresnan (Greenville, Pa./Reynolds) (57.64) placed second to fifth in the 400m dash.
On the women's side,
Cydney Wierzbowski (Derry, Pa./Derry) threw for 11.80m in the weight throw and placed eighth for the Tomcats.
Analeise Burns (Indiana, Pa./Marion Center) placed eighth in shot put with 10.15m, as
Jasmine Carney (DuBois, Pa/DuBois) threw for 8.39m, placing 12th.
