GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's lacrosse team dropped a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game to the Chatham Cougars, 23-2, Wednesday afternoon at Alumni Stadium.
Chatham got out to a quick start, scoring 15 goals in the opening period. The Cougars would add five goals in the second period to give the visitor's a 20-0 halftime lead.
The Tomcat defense would hold the Cougars to three second half goals.
Thadd Bell (Erie, Pa./McDowell) scored the Tomcats' two goals, with
Logan Millie (Fairview, Pa./Fairview) assisting on the first Tomcat goal. Bell also led the team with five shots.
Austin parker added seven ground balls with five faceoff wins.
Ethan Narby (Bath, N.Y./Haverling) recorded a career-best 34 saves, setting a new single-game record for saves. The previous record of 31 saves has stood since 2011. Narby also added 13 ground balls.
The Tomcats will hit the road for a conference showdown with Westminster on Saturday. The conference game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
