GREENVILLE, Pa. (April 13) -- The Thiel College Men's Tennis team dropped a non-conference match with the University of Mount Union 6-1 Sunday afternoon on Tomcat Tennis Courts to conclude the regular season.
The Tomcats fall to 0-12 while the Purple Raiders rise to 3-14.
Bret Vilage (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) picked up his second win in as many days as he posted a 6-3, 6-4 victory at No. 2 singles over Andrew Cavett. In doubles action, he and
Nathaniel Udell (Meadowbrook, Pa./Abington) took a pair of games but fell 6-2 at first doubles.
Trevor Gateley () won a pair of games at No. 4 singles but fell in straight sets. Udell,
Evan Cessna (Kittanning, Pa./West Shamokin),
Kevin Gilroy (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Cuyahoga Falls) and
Kaleb McDowell () each won games in the season finale.
