KEUKA PARK, N.Y. (March 5) -- The Thiel College Men's Lacrosse team dropped a non-conference battle with Keuka College 17-4 Wednesday evening at Jephson Community Athletic Complex.
The Tomcats drop to 0-4 while the Wolves rise to 1-1.
Zach Melin (Chardon, Ohio/Chardon) got the Tomcats on the board with his seventh goal of the year off of a
Logan Millie (Fairview, Pa./Fairview) assist in the second period to make it 11-1 Keuka.
Thadd Bell (Erie, Pa./McDowell) added a man-up goal from a
Justin Mason (Alden, N.Y./Alden Central) helper in the third. Millie and Bell added a pair of goals late in the fourth quarter to spell the 17-4 final.
Melin logged 17 shots in the defeat to go with a pair of ground balls and caused turnovers each while Mason logged a game-best four caused turnovers and grabbed one ground ball. Bell corralled four ground balls and caused two turnovers. Millie had two ground balls and caused two turnovers to go with a goal and an assist.
Austin Parker (Titusville, Pa./Maplewood) grabbed a career-best seven ground balls and won a game-high 11 faceoffs.
Ethan Narby (Bath, N.Y./Haverling) totaled 21 saves and grabbed three ground balls.
Men's Lacrosse returns to action Saturday for a home non-conference tilt with Hilbert at 1 p.m.
