WAYNESBURG, Pa. -- The Thiel College Women's Basketball team fell to the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets 75-63 in their last Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game of the season.
The Tomcats finished 0-25 (0-20 PAC) on the regular season under second year head coach Jess Vormelker.
At the half, Thiel led 40-37, outscoring the Yellow Jackets 21-16 in the second quarter to give them the lead.
Waynesburg outscored Thiel 19-5 in the fourth quarter to ultimately give them the lead to victory.
Thiel was able to keep Waynesburg 28-70 from the field during the entire game and 9-32 from the three-point line.
Freshman Issy Green (Slippery Rock, Pa./Portersville Christian) had a team high 22-point game, grabbed five steals, three rebounds and dished out four assists to lead the Tomcats. Green went 6-14 from the field and an almost perfect 7-8 from the free throw line.
Bria Ringloff (Jefferson Hills, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) added 11 points to Thiel's score while also grabbing two rebounds and one assist.
Freshmen Lyndzee Amory (Edinboro, Pa./Saegertown) and Kayley Risser (Reynoldsville, Pa./Dubois Central Catholic) had a combined 15 rebounds, Amory with a team high of eight, and Risser with seven. Risser picked up 9 points and an assist, while Amory pt up 2 points and a perfect 2-2 from the free throw line.
Josie Lewis (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) and Giovanna Castro (Frisco, Texas/Heritage) each grabbed 7 points, Castro with four rebounds and Lewis with two.
