FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Thiel College Women's Basketball team opened their season at Fredonia State where they were defeated 71-44 Friday night.
Thiel drops to 0-1 (0-0) on the year as the Blue Devils advance to 1-0 (0-0).
Fredonia took an early 27-10 lead in the first quarter, making it difficult for the Tomcats to come back after the half.

Issy Green (Slippery Rock, Pa./Portersville Christian) led Thiel's offense with 14 points, as sophomore
Kayley Risser (Reynoldsville, Pa./Dubois Central Catholic) trailed behind her with eight points.
Risser led the team in rebounds with nine, as
Emily Betsinger (Indiana, Pa./Indiana) grabbed eight. Green dished out three assists and grabbed five steals.
The Tomcats return to action on Wednesday, November 12 as they travel to Sharon, Pa. to take on Penn State Shenango on the road at 6 p.m.
