GREENVILLE, Pa. -- The Thiel College Women's Soccer team fell to Chatham University 7-2 Wednesday evening from Alumni Stadium at Stoeber Field.
The Tomcats drop to 0-9 (0-3) on the regular season, as the Cougars advance to 5-3-2 (2-1).
Chatham came out the gate hot scoring five quick goals in the first 20 minutes of the match.
Thiel got on the board 30 seconds into the second half from a goal from junior Kenna Reinard (Hubbard, Ohio/Hubbard).
Sophomore Ashley Ross (Springdale, Pa./Springdale) got her first goal of the season in the 71st minute of the game, which was assisted by Imogen deBlois (Hubbard, Ohio/Howland).
Ross led the offense with 2 shots, both of which were on goal.
Goalkeeper Madison Rodgers (Reinholds, Pa./Cocalico) was faced with 45 shots, 32 on goal, and made 25 saves.
The Tomcats return to action on Saturday, October 4 when they take on the Grove City Wolverines on the road at 3:30 p.m.
