ERIE, Pa. (Jan. 31) -- The Thiel College wrestling team dropped a non-conference dual 53-3 at Penn State Behrend Friday evening in the Junker Center.

The Tomcats drops to 2-3 on the year while the Lions rise to 9-6 on the season.

Lanodn Mead collected Thiel's lone win of the evening at 165 pounds. He topped Hunter Savitz on a 5-0 decision for his fourth win of the season and second consecutive win in dual action.

In Wednesday night's PAC dual against Hiram, Mead had an impressive win at 165 over Seth Holt. He trailed 9-5 with seconds remaining in the third period and forced a 3-point take down as the horn sounded and added an additional point on riding time to force overtime where he got a fall (8:07).

Wrestling returns to action Thursday when they close out PAC competition with a home dual against Saint Vincent at 7 p.m. on Maenpa Court at Beeghly Gymnasium.
