LATROBE, Pa. (Jan. 25) -- The Thiel College men's basketball team dropped a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup with Saint Vincent College 77-54 Saturday evening at the Robert S. Carey Center.
The Tomcats fall to 6-11 (5-8) on the year while the Bearcats rise to 14-4 (10-3).

Rob Thomas (Pittsburgh, Pa./Penn Hills) layup made it 28-20 at the 5:58 mark of the opening half. The Bearcats answered with an 8-0 run from the 3:45 mark to the 2:14 mark to go ahead 36-20.
Mike Brown (Clinton, Md./Gwynn Park) canned a pair of jumpers in the final 2 minutes of the half, but the home side took a 42-24 lead into the break.
Brown had a team-high-tying 10 points on 5-of-8 to go with four rebounds and a team-high-tying two assists. Thomas totaled 6 points on 3-of-7 and grabbed five boards.
The Blue and Gold improved in the second half and were narrowly outscored (35-30) as the Bearcats rolled to the victory.
Khamari Accursio-Harris (Jupiter, Fla./Jupiter) tied with Brown for the team high in points (10) and went 4-of-9 from the field and 2-of-2 at the line. He grabbed five rebounds and had one block and steal each.
Das Sanders (Dallas, Texas/Fort Worth Christian) corralled a career-best eight rebounds, pitched in 6 points and had two assists.
Gabriel Gonzalez (Merida, Venezuela/Southwest Miami) had a pair of helpers as well.
Marlon Ellerbee (Temple Hills, Md./Oxon Hill) logged 7 points, all of which came at the free-throw line, and had four boards.
Anthony Henderson II (Miramar, Fla./Somerset Academy) had 6 points on 3-of-5 and pulled down four rebounds.
Thiel finished 10-of-13 from the charity stripe while Saint Vincent was 15-of-18.
Men's basketball returns to action at 8 p.m. Wednesday for a PAC showdown at Westminster. The Tomcats topped the Titans
77-68 in their first meeting this season on Dec. 4.
