NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Thiel College women's cross country team opened its 2024 season Friday at Westminster College's Fisher Invitational.
 
Madalyn Semmler (Butler, Pa./Butler) was Thiel's top finisher in the 5K, a 35^th-place effort in 23:29.42. Lillianna Briscoe (Beaver Falls, Pa./Quigley Catholic) finished 47^th in 24:07.11 while Brooke Griffith (Chicora, Pa./Karns City) placed 61^st in 26:30.50.
 
The Tomcats will compete in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Preview at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds on Saturday, September 7.
