WAYNESBURG, Pa. – The Thiel College men's basketball team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game to the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets, 69-58, on the road Saturday afternoon.
Thiel kept it close throughout the first half, cutting the deficit to four at halftime.
However, a strong second half saw Waynesburg lead by as many as 16 points.
Thiel was led by
Elijah Harden (Sharon, Pa./Kennedy Catholic) who recorded 16 points and four rebounds.
Ethan Barnes (Boynton Beach, Fla./Suncoast) also tallied 16 points and added an assist, while
Khamari Accursio-Harris (Jupiter, Fla./Jupiter) recorded four points and 10 boards.
Rayshod Hooper (Baltimore, Md./St. Frances Academy) recorded four points, while AJ Green recorded three blocks.
Waynesburg was led by Antone Baker who recorded 20 points and 12 boards, while Jaylen Davis recorded 18 points and eight rebounds.
The Tomcats conclude the 2023-24 season with an 8-17 record, including 7-13 in the PAC.
