GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's tennis team dropped a non-conference matchup to the Clarion Golden Eagles, 7-0, Saturday afternoon at Tomcat Tennis Courts.
At first singles,
Toby Atwood (Kittanning, Pa./Armstrong) fell to Davan Lion 6-0, 6-1.
Emily Peters (Ravenna, Ohio/Ravenna) fell to Josie Beckerleg at second singles 3-6, 6-1, 8-10 in a tiebreaker.
At third singles,
Megan Harding (Sharon, Pa./Sharon) fell to Stephanie Murguia 6-0, 6-1, while
Mila Brdar (White Oak, Pa./McKeesport) fell to Taelyn Thomas 6-1, 6-0 at fourth singles.
Sabrina Robison (Girard, Pa./Girard) (6-0, 6-0) fell to Polia Vladeva at fifth singles, while
Chloe Walton (Lower Burrell, Pa./Burrell) (7-5, 6-1) fell to Caidyn Demchak at sixth singles.
At first doubles, Atwood and Peters fell to Lion and Beckerleg 6-3, while Harding and Brdar fell to Murguia and Vladeva 6-0 at second doubles.
The Tomcats will head to Geneva on Wednesday for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup. The conference game is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
