GREENVILLE, Pa. - The Thiel College women's soccer team returned home to face off against the Bethany Bison in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match-up at Alumni Stadium, where the Bison took the 6-1 victory.
The Tomcats put up a strong defensive front while the Bison scored one in the final minutes of the first half. The Bison came out strong putting up three goals in the first five minutes of the second half. Thiel got on the board in the 77th minute of the game by Skylar Garlick (Fort Loudon, Pa./James Buchanan) but Bethany fired back right away to make the final score 6-1.
Thiel's offense was led by Skylar Garlick (Fort Loudon, Pa./James Buchanan) with two shots and one goal, and Imogen deBlois (Hubbard, Ohio/Howland) added one shot as well.
To lead the Bison offense, Brionna Bash had a two-goal game. Jada Benjamin added a goal and an assist, while Isabella Hage, Grace Schweickert, and Carlene Thomas each had a score of their own. Ava Lee, Ally Barclay, and Mallory Peyton each added an assist as well.
In net for Thiel, Madison Rodgers (Reinholds, Pa./Cocalico) made nine saves.
Hope Fair and Mathelyn Ruiz both split time in net for Bethany, Fair making two saves.
The Tomcats finished the season 3-15 (0-10 PAC).
