GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's basketball team lost a Presidents Athletic Conference (PAC) game to the Geneva Golden Tornadoes, 79-74, Wednesday night at Maenpa Court at Beeghly Gymnasium.
Geneva opened up a quick 14-8 lead heading into the first media timeout. Thiel responded with a 6-0 run, before Geneva opened up a 24-19 lead.

Rayshod Hooper (Baltimore, Md./St. Frances Academy) jumper as the halftime buzzer sounded gave the Tomcats a 41-39 advantage heading into the break.
Geneva opened the second half with a 12-0 run to take an 11-point lead. Geneva would lead the rest of the way.
The Tomcats were led by
Ethan Barnes (Boynton Beach, Fla./Suncoast) who recorded 18 points and four rebounds.
Elijah Harden (Sharon, Pa./Kennedy Catholic) tallied 17 points and corralled seven boards, while Hooper recorded 16 points and two rebounds.
Khamari Accursio-Harris (Jupiter, Fla./Jupiter) recorded six points and one rebounds, shooting 3-for-3 from the field.
The Golden Tornadoes were led by Payton Triplett who recorded a game-high 33 points to go along with four rebounds. Ryan Rachic recorded 16 points and seven rebounds, while Trevor Tipton recorded 12 points and four rebounds.
The Tomcats will close out their two-game homestand with a Saturday afternoon conference game against the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets. The PAC game is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
