GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team dropped a non-conference game to the SUNY Brockport Golden Eagles, 7-0, at Alumni Stadium Sunday afternoon.
Amelia Breton opened the scoring in the 19
th minute, being assisted by Kiley Longin. The Golden Eagles went into halftime with a 1-0 lead.
The second half was a different story, with the Golden Eagles scoring six goals after the halftime break.
McKenna Slate recorded two goals, while Jaylah Cossin recorded one goal and two assists.
Jenna Murrey (Cambridge, Ohio/Cambridge) recorded one shot on goal for the Tomcats.
Samantha Hoffman (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) recorded 12 saves for the Tomcats.
Madeline McCrosson started in goal for the Golden Eagles. Emily McCane and Karissa Champion each split time in net.
The Tomcats will travel to Penn-State Beaver on Wednesday for a non-conference game. The game is scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
