GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's tennis team lost its home opener Saturday to the Mount Aloysius Mounties, 8-1.
 
Toby Atwood (Kittanning, Pa./Armstrong) led the Tomcats with a 7-5, 6-7 (5-7), 11-9 win over Kendra Sines at first singles.

Sines and Kierra Mountain topped Atwood and Payton Blankenbeckley (Portsmouth, Ohio/Minford) 8-5 at first doubles. Mountain topped Blankenbeckley 6-3, 6-4 at second singles.
 
Thiel will face Pitt Greensburg on the road Wednesday. The non-conference match is scheduled to begin at noon.
