GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's basketball team lost a President's Athletic Conference (PAC) game to the Saint Vincent Bearcats, 90-70, Tuesday night at Maenpa Court at Beeghly Gymnasium.
Both teams traded baskets to open the game, before Saint Vincent was able to pull away midway through the first half.
Thiel was led by
Elijah Harden (Sharon, Pa./Kennedy Catholic) who recorded a team-best 23 points to go along with two assists and two rebounds. Freshman
Khamari Accursio-Harris (Jupiter, Fla./Jupiter) recorded a career-best 11 points, going 5-for-7 from the field. He also corralled three boards and one assist.
Rayshod Hooper (Baltimore, Md./St. Frances Academy) recorded eight points and grabbed eight boards.
Saint Vincent was led by Dev Ostrowski who recorded a game-high 30 points to go along with nine rebounds. Jaden Gales recorded 18 points and eight rebounds, Osyon Jones recorded 12 points and corralled three rebounds.
Saint Vincent outshot the Tomcats 60 percent to 37 percent, including 53 percent from behind-the-arc.
The Tomcats will return to action on Sunday when they travel to NCAA Division II school Lake Erie College. The non-conference game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
