GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's basketball team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game Saturday to the Westminster Titans at Maenpa Court at Beeghly Gymnasium, 70-61.
 
The Titans led 41-33 at halftime and went on to lead by as many as 14 points near the midpoint of the third quarter. The Tomcats cut the lead down to six points twice in the fourth quarter but would get no closer down the stretch.
 
Thiel forward 
Destiny Johnson (Baltimore, Md./Western) recorded game-highs in points (21), rebounds (9), assists (7) and steals (4). With her nine rebounds, Johnson moved into fifth place on the school's career rebounds list (795), surpassing Jess Vormelker who amassed 790 rebounds from 2015-19.
 
Thiel sophomore guard 
Lexy Wagner (Pittsburgh, Pa./Keystone Oaks) scored a career-high 14 points to go along with three rebounds, three steals and a pair of assists. Freshman guard 
Viviana Paucarima (Coral Springs, Fla./Coral Glades) scored seven points while senior forward 
Destiny Merriwether (Youngstown, Ohio/East) grabbed nine rebounds and scored six points.
 
Natalie Murrio led Westminster with 20 points. Mariah Vincent scored 16 points.
 
The Tomcats will host the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets Wednesday. The PAC game is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
