WAYNESBURG, Pa. – The Thiel College women's basketball team was defeated 63-53 Monday by the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets in the opening round of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship Tournament.
 
Destiny Johnson (Baltimore, Md./Western) led the ninth-seeded Tomcats with a game-high 23 points. Johnson, who made 9-of-20 shots from the floor and went 5-of-7 at the line, also led the Tomcats with 11 rebounds. Taylor Susany (Struthers, Ohio/Struthers) came off the bench to score nine points. Sha'nia Stiers-Royal (Austintown, Ohio/Austintown-Fitch) recorded eight rebounds and scored seven points.
 
Brooke Fuller led eighth-seeded Waynesburg with 20 points and seven rebounds. Anika Dansby recorded a game-best 13 rebounds to go along with 12 points and seven assists. Avery Robinson scored 11 points and corralled five rebounds.
