Second half scoring leads Gators over Tomcats in season finale

GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference match to the Allegheny Gators, 3-1, Wednesday night.
 
The Gators got on the board ten minutes into the match off a goal from Julieta Schworm. But the Tomcats would equalize just three minutes later off a free kick from junior Bailey Fritz (Mineral Ridge, Ohio/Austintown Fitch). The game would be tied 1-1 heading into halftime. 
 
Goals in the 69th and 72nd minute helped propel the Gators over the Tomcats.
 
For the Tomcats, Fritz recorded the teams only goal. Fritz also led the team with three shots on goal. In net, senior Bethany Bonnar (Beaver, Pa./Beaver Area) recorded four saves in the match.
 
For the Gators, Schworm, Emma Miller and Natasha Rosa each recorded a goal. In net, Kari May and Chloe MacLaren combined to make two saves in the match.
 
The Tomcats finished the season 2-12 (0-10-0 PAC).
