GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup to the Bethany Bison, 3-1, Tuesday night.
The Bison broke the deadlock in the 29
th minute. But the Tomcats would equalize in the 38
thminute through senior
Kelly Clark (New Castle, Pa./Mohawk) to go into the halftime break tied 1-1.
The Bison would reclaim the lead in the 54
th minute and would put the game away with a third goal in the 81
st minute.
For the Tomcats, Clark recorded the team's only goal. Freshman
Jenna Murrey (Cambridge, Ohio/Cambridge) recorded her second assist of the season. Clark also led the team with two shots on goal. In net, senior
Bethany Bonnar (Beaver, Pa./Beaver Area) recorded seven saves in the contest.
For the Bison, Brooke Fuleki, Monica Bird and Jada Benjamin each recorded a goal. In net Corinne Grabow recorded two saves.
The Tomcats are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Westminster for a Presidents' Athletic Conference match. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m.
