GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's basketball team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game to the Grove City Wolverines Monday at Beeghly Gymnasium, 81-57.
 
Leading by just two points at halftime (30-28), the Wolverines outscored the Tomcats 51-29 in the second half to earn the league win.
 
Emily Grandy (Sharpsville, Pa./Sharpsville) came off the bench to lead the Tomcats with 19 points. Grandy made three shots from the floor, two of which were from 3-point range, and went 11-of-11 at the free-throw line.
 
Destiny Johnson (Baltimore, Md./Western) led Thiel with 12 rebounds. She also scored nine points and collected seven assists. 
Lexy Wagner (Pittsburgh, Pa./Keystone Oaks) scored seven points and secured three rebounds while 
Sha'nia Stiers-Royal (Austintown, Ohio/Austintown-Fitch) corralled five rebounds and scored four points.
 
Megan Kallock led Grove City with 19 points. Allison Podkul tallied a game-best 17 rebounds and scored 14 points.
 
The Tomcats will host the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets Wednesday at Beeghly Gymnasium. The PAC is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
