GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team tied with the Saint Vincent Bearcats, 0-0 (2OT), in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest on Thursday.
In the first half, the Bearcats outshot the Tomcats 10-2. In the second half, the Tomcats registered 12 shots to the Bearcats nine. The Tomcats also outshot the Bearcats 3-2 in both overtime periods, but neither team could bury a goal, leading to a 0-0 tie.
For the Tomcats,
Samantha Hoffman (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) was in goal for the entire 110 minutes of the shutout and registered 11 saves.
Reilly Lutz (Alliance, Ohio/Marlington) attempted five shots, with three on goal.
Taylor Warner (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) and
Kelly Clark (New Castle, Pa.) each registered three shots, one on goal apiece.
Nicole Pereksta (Parma Heights, Ohio/Valley Forge) and
Emily Harriman (Geneva, Ohio/Geneva) also recorded a shot on goal.
For the Bearcats, Taylor Johnson recorded seven saves in the shutout. Hannah Irvine and Tanisha Grewal each notched six shots and three shots on goal.
The Tomcats conclude the regular season with a 2-5-1 record (2-5-1 PAC), including a 2-0-1 record at home.
