WAYNESBURG, Pa. – The Thiel College women's tennis team earned a 7-2 Presidents' Athletic Conference win on the road Saturday over the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets.
Allyson Stanley (Oil City, Pa./Oil City) and
Payton Blankenbeckley (Portsmouth, Ohio/Minford) teamed up for an 8-1 No. 2 doubles win over Katie Dolland and Hayley Sweeney while
Madeline Depalma (Ravenna, Ohio/Ravenna) and
Reagan Hayne (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) defeated Olivia Ference and Marina Hastings 8-2 at No. 3 doubles.
Natalie Zgurich (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) defeated Kyleigh Schmidt 6-2, 7-5 at first singles while Stanley beat Madison Trent 6-3, 6-3.
At third singles,
Sarah Haritos (Wilmington, Del./Concord) topped Sweeney 6-2, 6-2. Blankenbeckley won 6-4, 6-3 over Dolland at fourth singles while Hayne won 6-1, 6-0 over Ference.
The Tomcats will face the Saint Vincent Bearcats on the road on Sunday, April 18. The PAC match will begin at noon.
