GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Thiel College women's tennis team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference match on the road Wednesday to the Grove City Wolverines, 9-0.
For the Tomcats, freshman
Sarah Haritos (Wilmington, Del./Concord) suffered a narrow 6-3, 7-5 defeat at third singles to Alexis Chappel. At No. 2 doubles,
Allyson Stanley (Oil City, Pa./Oil City) and
Payton Blankenbeckley (Portsmouth, Ohio/Minford) lost to Chappel and Lillian Jeynes, 8-4.
The Tomcats are scheduled to face the Westminster Titans on the road Sunday. The PAC match is scheduled to start at 1:30 p.m.
