HIRAM, Ohio – The Thiel College wrestling team defeated the Hiram Terriers on the road in a non-conference dual match Wednesday night, 38-6.
 
Three Tomcats picked up bonus points on the night, including Hunter E. Thompson (Titusville, Pa./Titusville), Peyton Hearn (Conneaut, Pa./Conneaut Area) and Dylan Proper (Titusville, Pa./Maplewood).
 
Thompson pinned Grayson Smith in 2:24 at 133 pounds. Hearn won by technical fall over Seth Holt at 157 pounds (17-2, 5:16). Proper pinned Devan Welch at 285 in 3:37.
 
Thiel also earned 18 team points on Hiram forfeits.
 
The Tomcats will compete in the Baldwin Wallace Invitational on Saturday. The invitational is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
