GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's basketball team suffered a 70-30 non-conference contest to the Oberlin Yeowomen on Friday.

Sophomore Rachel Breckenridge (Burton, Ohio/Berkshire) paced the offensive effort with nine points, including a perfect 6-for-6 from the charity stripe. She added three rebounds and an assist.  Destiny Merriwether (Youngstown, Ohio/East ) grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.

Oberlin was led by Jasmine Sorrells who recorded a double-double with scoring 16 points and hauling in 12 rebounds.

The Tomcats will re-enter Presidents' Athletic Conference play when they host the Westminster Titans on Wednesday. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
