VALENCIA, Pa. – The Thiel College women's tennis team earned a 6-3 non-conference win Wednesday night over the La Roche Redhawks at Lakevue Athletic Club.
The Tomcats won four singles matches Wednesday.
Angela Campbell (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum) defeated Alexandra Mroczkowski at third singles 6-4, 6-3 while
Allyson Stanley (Oil City, Pa./Oil City) topped Jazmyn Davis at fourth singles 6-1, 6-4. At fifth singles,
Amelia Mutinelli (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) beat Alena Matthew 6-0, 6-1 while
Reagan Hayne (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) defeated Manyia Still at sixth singles 6-0, 6-0.
Shyann Foreman (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro) and Stanley teamed to defeat Mroczkowski and Davis at second doubles, 8-4. At third doubles, Hayne and
Taylor Ranegar (Pittsburgh, Pa./Avella) won 8-0 over Still and Matthew.
The Tomcats will be back in action Tuesday, Sept. 17 when they host the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets. The PAC match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
