GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's tennis team earned a 5-2 Presidents' Athletic Conference win over the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets Tuesday.
Thiel earned three wins in singles play.
Natalie Zgurich (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) defeated Madison Trent 6-0, 6-0 at second singles while
Angela Campbell (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum) defeated Noelle Hughes 6-1, 4-6, 10-8 in the third slot. At fourth singles,
Allyson Stanley (Oil City, Pa./Oil City) defeated Lauren Wadsworth 6-1, 6-3.
Zgurich and Campbell defeated Kyleigh Schmidt and Trent at first doubles, 8-3. Stanley teamed with
Shyann Foreman (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro) for an 8-3 win over Wadsworth and Sierra Stevens at second doubles.
The Tomcats will be back in action Thursday when they face the Fredonia Blue Devils on the road. The non-conference match is scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
