GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's tennis team opened Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play Saturday with an 8-1 loss to the Grove City Wolverines.
 
Allyson Stanley (Oil City, Pa./Oil City) paced the Tomcats with a 6-3, 6-2 win at fourth singles over Sydney Adams. Stanley and Shyann Foreman (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro) were also narrowly defeated at second doubles, 8-5, to Mallory Jackson and Hannah Tarolli.
 
The Tomcats will take on the La Roche Redhawks on the road Wednesday. The non-conference match is set to begin at 4 p.m.
