GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's basketball team lost a non-conference contest to the Case Western Reserve University Spartans 88-50 on Wednesday.
Freshmen
Devin Christian (Mechanicsville, Va./Lee-Davis) and
Beni Lavodrama (Washington, D.C./Phelps Career Senior) both recorded double-digit point performances off the bench. Christian led the offensive effort with 12 points. He hauled in three rebounds and handed out a pair of assists.
Lavodrama chipped in with 10 points and five rebounds.
Ahmad Tejumola (Waldorf, Md./Saint Charles) added nine points and six boards.
The Spartans were led by Ryan Newton who scored a game-best 17 points.
Thiel will be back in action on Saturday in a Presidents' Athletic Conference game when the Tomcats travel to the Westminster Titans. Tipoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
