GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's basketball team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game Saturday to the Saint Vincent Bearcats at Beeghly Gymnasium, 69-68.
 
The Tomcats trailed 40-35 at halftime. It took them less than three minutes in the second half to take the lead (42-41) after 
Andre Williams (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Boyd H. Anderson) made a pair of shots from the charity stripe.
 
Thiel never trailed the rest of the way until Andrew Reed drained a game-winning 3-pointer on a pass from Tom Kromka as time expired. The Tomcats led by as many eight points twice in the second half.
 
Terrance Holloway (Farrell, Pa./Farrell) led the Tomcats with a game-high 20 points and also contributed eight rebounds while 
Alonzo Brown (Largo, Fla./Pinellas Park) pulled down a game-best 13 rebounds and scored eight points. 
Daquan Simmons (Capitol Heights, Md./Central) scored 10 points while 
Nyric Gosley (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport) scored eight points to go along with five rebounds and four assists. 
Michael Ricks (Cleveland, Ohio/Cleveland School of Architecture and Design) scored eight points and secured seven rebounds off the bench.
 
David Stephen led Saint Vincent with 17 points while Shemar Bennett scored 16 points and pulled down nine rebounds. Ryan Dutton scored 13 points while Kromka scored nine points and recorded seven rebounds. Reed made a pair of 3-pointers, including the game-winner, and finished with eight points.
 
Saint Vincent improved to 11-0 in PAC play with the win while the Tomcats fell to 4-6 with the loss.
 
The Tomcats will host the Bethany Bison Wednesday at Beeghly Gymnasium. The PAC game is slated for a 7:30 p.m. start.
