GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Thiel College men's lacrosse team lost an Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) game to the Grove City Wolverines Wednesday at Robert E. Thorn Field, 15-6.
Liam Stickle (Clarkston, Mich./Clarkston) paced the Tomcats with three goals while Jeffrey Karnoff (Ringoes, NJ/Hunterdon Central) netted two goals. Also for Thiel, Jack Fontana (Olmsted Falls, Ohio/Olmsted) won 15 faceoffs and recorded 12 groundballs while Desmond Stuart (Roanoke, Va./Salem) picked up nine groundballs.
Andrew Kvasnovsky led Grove City with five points (2G, 3A).
Cole O'Connor (Midlothian, Va./James River) made 18 saves for Thiel. Ben Dumm made 15 saves for the Wolverines.
The Tomcats will take on the Bethany Bison on the road Saturday. The ORLC game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
