RICHMOND, Ind. – The Thiel College men's lacrosse team defeated the Earlham Quakers Saturday on the road, 27-0.
Thiel opened up a 9-0 first-quarter lead en route to the 27-0 Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) win.
Kyle Reib (Erie, Pa./McDowell) led the Tomcats with eight points on five goals and three assists.
Brennen O'Shea (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) recorded six points (5G, 1A) while
JJ Raab (Butler, Pa./Butler) finished with five points (4G, 1A).
Thiel's 27 goals were the most in a single game in the history of the program.
Cole O'Connor (Midlothian, Va./James River) made five saves to earn the shutout for the Tomcats. Xavier Flores and John Okker-Edging combined to make 19 saves for the Quakers.
Thiel improved to 3-5 overall and 2-2 in the ORLC with the win.
The Tomcats will take on the La Roche Redhawks on the road Wednesday. The game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
