BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Thiel College women's tennis team lost a non-conference match Wednesday to the Medaille Mavericks at the Village Glen Tennis Club in Buffalo, N.Y., 8-1.
 
Allyson Stanley (Oil City, Pa./Oil City) paced the Tomcats with a 1-6, 6-1, 10-7 win over Kristina Hryschuk at third singles. Angela Campbell (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum) fought but lost 5-7, 7-6, 10-3 to Danielle Pitasi at second singles.
 
Stanley and Abby Bowser (Freeport, Pa./Lenape Technical) lost 9-7 at second doubles to Pitasi and Hallie Dworzanski. Campbell and Foreman lost 8-6 at first doubles to Jasmine Mott and Jessica Munson.
 
Thiel will take on La Roche on the road Thursday. The non-conference match is slated to begin at 4:30 p.m.
