HIRAM, Ohio – The Thiel College women's soccer team was defeated 8-0 Saturday by the University of Mount Union Purple Raiders at Henry Field in Hiram, Ohio.
 
Maggie O'Donnell led Mount Union with a pair of goals.
 
Chimamaka Palmer (Northfield, Ohio/Mayfield) and Victoria Villano (Canfield, Ohio/Canfield) combined to make 15 saves for the Tomcats.
 
The Tomcats will play their home opener Friday when they host the Franciscan Barons at Alumni Stadium. The game is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
