GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's basketball team closed out the 2016-17 season Saturday with a 67-54 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) loss to the Chatham Cougars at Beeghly Gymnasium.
Juniors
Jess Vormelker (Orwell, Ohio/Grand Valley) and
Taylor Duchon (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) led the Tomcats with 17 and 16 points, respectively.
Alivia Sidley (Thompson, Ohio/Ledgemont) also contributed 13 points.
Chatham's Katelyn Sieg notched a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Natalie Knab also scored 19 points while Jesse Hinkle scored 13 points and corralled nine rebounds.
Thiel seniors, including
Erin DiFalco (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional),
Jessica Lovell (Washington, Pa./Trinity),
Alyssa Mondl (Akron, Ohio/Cuyahoga Falls),
Laken Shields (Franklin, Pa./Franklin) and student manager Trevor Martin were honored prior to the game during Senior Day.
