GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team concluded their season on Saturday afternoon as they fell 2-0 to Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) opponent Thomas More College at Alumni Stadium. Before the match seniors
Kaytee Candela (Ashtabula, Ohio/Lakeside),
Brooke Gates (Middletown, Pa./Middletown Area) and
Victoria Villano (Canfield, Ohio/Canfield) were honored on Senior Day.
The Tomcats fended off the high-powered Saints' attack in the first half only allowing one goal on 17 shots as Abby Stadtmiller took advantage of a misplayed ball in the box to give the Saints a 1-0 advantage in the eighth minute.
Thiel was able to keep Thomas More's offense in check the rest of the first half as it remained 1-0 in favor of Thomas More at the end of the half.
The Tomcats battled to equalize the game but Thomas More's Ashley Maples put the game out of hand in the 76th minute as she collected another goal for the Saints to make it 2-0.

Chimamaka Palmer (Northfield, Ohio/Mayfield) recorded a game-high 9 saves on the day. Offensively, The Tomcats were lead by
Nicole Pereksta (Parma Heights, Ohio/Valley Forge) who recorded two shots, one of which was on goal.
Kaytee Candela (Ashtabula, Ohio/Lakeside) also collected a shot on goal.
The Tomcats have officially concluded their 2017 season.
