The Thiel College Equestrian Club opened the 2016-17 season Saturday against Tiffin University at Seneca County Fairgrounds.
 
Thiel's Natalie Beckwith (Tallmadge, Ohio/Tallmadge ) earned fourth- and fifth-place finishes while Tasha Glaub (Fort Worth, TX/All Saints Episcopal) placed fourth and sixth.
 
Also for the Tomcats, Kayla Henry (Ellwood City, Pa./Riverside ) finished fourth, Lenora Boyer (Delaware, Ohio/Delaware Christian) placed fifth and Phillip Brewer (Dorest, Ohio/Pymatuning Valley ) finished sixth.
 
The Tomcats will return to action Oct. 1 against Youngstown State University at Blue Lakes Farm.
