FREDONIA, N.Y. – The Thiel College women's tennis team suffered a 6-3 road loss Monday to the Fredonia Blue Devils at the Steele Hall Courts in Fredonia, N.Y.
 
Lauren Mittner (New Brighton, Pa./New Brighton) and Sara Matczak (Erie, Pa./Fairview) accounted for all three of Thiel's wins. Mittner defeated Samantha Pedneault 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1 singles while Matczak downed Halee Dickinson 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 singles. Mittner and Matczak also earned an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles over Pedneault and Olivia Miller.
 
The Tomcats will host the Geneva Golden Tornadoes Friday at Buhl Park in Hermitage, Pa. The match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
