MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to the Allegheny Gators in a non-conference match at the Robertson Athletic Complex.

Lauren Mittner (New Brighton, Pa./New Brighton) played a close match in No. 1 singles but fell 6-2, 6-1 to Andrea Brush. Mercedez Quarles (Cleveland, Ohio/Cleveland School of Science and Medicine) and Janthel Davis (Canal Winchester, Ohio/Bishop Hartley) fell 8-2 in a hard fought match at No. 3 doubles to Kristie Oravec and Jasmine Burton.

The Tomcats will resume Presidents' Athletic Conference play on Friday, Sept. 25 at 3:30 p.m when they travel to Latrobe, Pa. to take on the Saint Vincent Bearcats.
