GREENVILLE, Pa. –
Jacob Paviol (Falls Village, Conn./Housatonic Valley Regional),
Aaron Herman (Cannonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) and
Sam Raymond (Davis Park N.Y./Bellport Senior) recorded hat tricks Saturday in Thiel's 17-0 Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) victory over the Defiance Yellow Jackets at the Rissell-Schreyer Dome.
Paviol led the Tomcats with five points on the day (3G, 2A) while Raymond (3G, 1A) and
Timothy O'Shea (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) (2G, 2A) recorded four points apiece. Also for Thiel,
Brennen O'Shea (Pittsburgh, Pa./Seneca Valley) scored two goals and added an assist for three points while
Edward Kargbo (Alexandria, Va./T.C. Williams) contributed three helpers.
Ryan Weldon (Centereach, N.Y./Newfield) recorded the win, his eight of the season, while making three saves in the first half.
Chris Haray (Bridgeport, Conn./Notre Dame Catholic) made one stop for the Tomcats in the second half.
Ricky Potts made 15 saves for the Yellow Jackets.
Thiel (8-2, 3-0 PAC), which honored its senior players at halftime Saturday, will travel to Steubenville, Ohio Wednesday to take on the Franciscan Barons in a non-conference contest at 4 p.m.
