Tomcats go 2-0 at Si Ostrach Meet

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Thiel College wrestling team went 2-0 Saturday at the Si Ostrach Meet, held at Horsburgh Gymnasium on the campus of Case Western Reserve.
 
The Tomcats opened the day with a 32-18 win over Rochester Institute of Technology before earning a 34-14 win over Case Western Reserve.
 
Six Tomcats went 2-0 Saturday, led by Chris Chris Nuss (West Homestead, Pa/Central Catholic) and Jerrold Roosa (Randolph, N.Y./Randolph Central). Nuss pinned Rochester Institute of Technology's Evan Vershay in 4:27 before pinning Case Western Reserve's Nick Tommas in 2:11. Roosa defeated Rochester Institute of Technology's Jake Swearingen 6-0 and pinned Case Western Reserve's Ryan Berg in 6:19.
