BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – Three different Tomcats scored a goal Wednesday against the Geneva Golden Tornadoes, but it wasn't enough in an 8-3 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) loss.
Morgan Berg (Cleveland, Ohio/Rocky River) scored Thiel's first goal roughly 15 minutes into the contest, cutting Geneva's lead in half. In the second half,
Savannah Serich (Poland, Ohio/Struthers) scored on a top-shelf shot while
Katelyn Labos (Carnegie, Pa./Chartiers Valley) scored on an assist from
Kaytee Candela (Geneva, Ohio/Lakeside).
Kim Orihel led Geneva with three goals and an assist while Heidi Mann scored a goal and tallied three assists.
Mary Oakey (Baltimore, Md. /Mercy ) made 20 saves for the Tomcats. Anna McMullen denied three shots for Geneva.
Thiel will wrap up its 2015 season Saturday on the road against the Bethany Bison. The contest is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
