GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Thiel College women's tennis dropped a 9-0 decision to the Grove City Wolverines in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest Tuesday afternoon.
Lauren Mittner (New Brighton, Pa./New Brighton) played in two close matches on Tuesday. In No. 1 singles, Mittner lost the first set 6-4 but forced a tiebreaker in the second set. She eventually fell to Karolina Lagerquist in the tiebreaker 7-1, to lose the second set 7-6. Mittner teamed with
Lauren Wolfe (Anita, Pa./Punxsutawney) and played lost a hard-fought No. 1 doubles match 8-4 to Lagerquist and Maggie Manchester of Grove City.
The Tomcats will participate in the PAC Championship Tournament starting on Saturday, Oct. 24 at the Pennbriar Athletic Club in Erie, Pa.
