GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's soccer team fell to the visiting Carlow University Celtics 1-0 in a non-conference contest under the lights at Alumni Stadium Tuesday night.

The Tomcats had 12 shots in the game and six on target compared to the Celtics 13 shots and three on target. Alliana Hardgrove (North Canton, Ohio/Hoover) and Morgan Berg (Cleveland, Ohio/Rocky River) each had two shots on goal. Goalkeeper Mary Oakey (Baltimore, Md. /Mercy ) had two saves in the loss.

The lone goal of the contest was scored in the 73rd minute when Cayla Imbaralina put in a goal just out of the reach of the goalkeeper Oakey on an assist from Nicolette Blake.

The Tomcats will open Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play this Friday, Oct. 3 at Alumni Stadium against the Geneva Golden Tornadoes. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
