WAYNESBURG, Pa. – The Thiel College women's tennis team was defeated by the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets Wednesday, 7-2.
 
Sara Matczak (Erie, Pa./Fairview) and Lauren Wolfe (Anita, Pa./Punxsutawney) paired up to defeat Emily McDonald and Ellen Limback at No. 2 doubles, 8-6. Lauren Mittner (New Brighton, Pa./New Brighton) also won at No. 2 singles, besting Alyssa Daniel, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5). Mittner improved to 3-1 on the season at No. 2 singles with the win.
 
The Tomcats (2-2) will play the Grove City Wolverines on the road Saturday at 4 p.m.
