Box Score GREENVILLE, Pa. – On Senior Night Wednesday, the Thiel women's basketball team earned a 64-53 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) win over Chatham at Beeghly Gymnasium.
Thiel senior guard Bethany Hines (Youngstown, Ohio/Youngstown Early College) scored 11 points to go along with five rebounds and three assists while senior forward Leanna Yeager (Poland, Ohio/Poland Seminary) scored four points and also collected four rebounds.Forward Jaclyn Watkins (Aliquippa, Pa./Aliquippa) led the Tomcats with 15 points and 12 rebounds to record her 12th double-double of the season. Watkins made 6-of-14 shots from the floor and converted on 3-of-4 shots from the charity stripe. Also scoring in double figures for the Tomcats were Laken Shields (Franklin, Pa./Franklin) (11) and Kayla Welty (Portville, N.Y./Portville ) (10) while Taylor Ketler (Dalton, Ohio/Dalton) tallied 10 rebounds. Senior guard Elizabeth Lewis led the Cougars with 13 points while Jesse Hinkle notched a game-high 14 rebounds and scored seven points.
Thiel's women's basketball team (5-18, 4-12 PAC) will close out the regular season on the road Saturday against PAC and Mercer County rival Grove City. The game is set to start at 1 p.m.
