Box Score WAYNESBURG, Pa. – The Thiel College women's basketball team was defeated Wednesday by the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets, 80-69.
 
Jaclyn Watkins (Aliquippa, Pa./Aliquippa) paced the Tomcats in the loss with 24 points and 16 rebounds, recording her 11^th double-double of the season in the process. In addition to Watkins, Hannah Stoneman (Sugarcreek, Ohio/Hiland) scored 14 points while Taylor Ketler (Dalton, Ohio/Dalton) scored 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds, narrowly missing her second career double-double.
 
Elaine Hasek led the Yellow Jackets with 15 points and tied for a team-best nine rebounds with Heather Davis, who also scored 14 points.
 
The Tomcats trailed the Yellow Jackets by 11 points at the half, 48-37. Thiel opened the second half on a 9-0 run, slicing the Yellow Jackets' lead down to two points on a three-pointer by Kayla Welty (Portville, N.Y./Portville ). Unfortunately, the Tomcats would get no closer down the stretch.
 
The Tomcats (4-18, 3-12 PAC) will return to action Saturday when they host the Thomas More Saints at the Beeghly Gymnasium. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m.
